TELEPHONE CANVASSING: WHAT’S NEW IN 2023?
From 1 March 2023, in France, the legislation is evolving regarding cold calling. Evolution & new rules, what will be the impact on your business?
From now on, telephone canvassing will be:
- Allowed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Friday
- Prohibited on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays
- Limited to 4 calls per month by the same professional or by a person acting on his behalf.
- If the prospect refuses the canvassing during the telephone conversation, he can not be contacted for a period of sixty days.
Who is concerned?
These new rules will concern both persons not registered on the Bloctel list and those registered but who are solicited under a current contract.
However, there are specificities to be aware of. Some people are not concerned by these rules: those who have given “their express or prior consent to be recalled.”
